Write a killer greetings card

Always stuck for words? Here’s how to write a killer greetings card.

Writing greetings cards can be a really tricky one. Sometimes the words flow, but other times you get a severe case of writers block, usually just when you’ve forgotten to buy a card, they’re about to walk back into the room as you frantically wrap the ‘thoughtfully considered gift’ (AKA chocolates from the convenience store) and you have exactly 3 seconds to come up with a deep and meaningful missive, write it in beautiful handwriting and seal the envelope. No wonder E-cards are so popular (but lame).

Here we’ve put together some card writing inspiration for some of the key card giving occasions. The idea is not to write the card for you, but to get the ball rolling and spur you on to write something direct, personal and genuine. Which is, after all, the point of writing a card.
