Luckies was founded by Jim Cox in 2005, initially sourcing cool stuff from around the globe to sell in the UK, but always with a longer term aim to develop Luckies branded products.
Now with a team of over 20 creative young minds, Luckies are committed to designing and making innovative, quality gift products and are best known for inventing the legendary Scratch Map range. The ultimate in unique gifts Scratch Maps feature a layer of foil that can be scratched off as countries are discovered and visited creating a totally unique, personalised record of your travel adventures.
Other best sellers include the Undercover range of laptop, tablet and phone covers, designed to disguise your precious mobile devices as everyday parcels. And then there are our very own design classics like Brown Paper Bag – the reusable, insulated and waterproof lunch bag based on the iconic American tradition of taking your lunch to work in a paper bag.
Or there’s You Complete Me, a contemporary twist on romance – a wooden heart shaped jigsaw ready to hold a personalised message.
The latest must have gift to come from our Notting Hill studio is Smart Phone Projector, which makes use of modern technology, but with a vintage aesthetic. Made from card, this genuinely innovative product projects all the videos and photos you’ve been hiding on your smartphone with a lo-fi, hi-fun vibe.
These days you can spot Luckies products in thousands of stores across the globe, or you can grab a piece of the story right here, right now!
Given the choice Lauren would jet off to Costa Rica so she could hug a Sloth, we'd miss her but all would be forgiven if she brought one back as the new office pet.
Hailing from Lithuania, Giedre brings some welcomed European flair to the office. She picked the Scratch Map Original as her favourite product because she loves planning future trips. We’ve heard she’s got her eye on Cuba next...
There's only two things you need to know about our Queen of Retail: 1) That girl knows her way around an Instagram filter 2) Her eyeliner flick is ALWAYS on point. When she's not blogging about Luckies awesome gifts or giving customer service with a smile, you can find her whipping up the best iced coffee this side of Kensal Rise.
Tess says the best thing about Luckies is being part of one big, strange looking family. Some of the strange comes from Tess' epic face pulling. Thankfully the office isn't drafty so it's always returned to 'normal'.
Not your average Devonshire dumpling, Patrick is more into reggae and spicy food than pasties and cider. Not one to just fit the mould he also speaks fluent French, providing valuable support to our French speaking customers.
Giving himself a Top Trumps Ping Pong score of 8/10, Joao is a man of confidence. Thank god he's also a First Aider and Fire Marshall, ready to face mortal danger at a moments notice. Someone get the guy a cape!
Alex says the best thing about working at Luckies is the team spirit, oh and the dartboard. What he might lack in Health & Safety enthusiasm he definitely makes up for in valuable knowledge about the best pubs in London. We know which one we’re more enthusiastic about too...
Cal reckons he'd hop on a plane to Iceland given the choice and would jump straight into the hot springs. If you see someone a lot taller than you splashing about over there please send him back, he's got cool gifts to design.
Jim says the best thing about working at Luckies is.. Jim. He's the big dawg so we can't argue with that, but rumour has it the little worker bees do love having a boss that's more awesome than most, who else's boss has taken them for a weekend in Berlin ? Luckies ain't just a name after all!
The lovely Jenni says she never gets that sinking Monday morning blues because being part of the Luckies team is really special. We'd love to take the proverbial and call her Miss Cheddar Day but god damn it we're welling up...
A maestro with all things numerical, Raj would hop onto a plane bound for Goa given the chance to make the most of it's sun, sea, sand and seafood. If the dream flight wasn't an option she's also happy demolishing two books a week on her way to the office.
Pete reckons the best thing about working at Luckies is the skatepark on the way to work, and will often turn up with a fresh graze on his knees. Apparently practice doesn't always make perfect... !
Most likely to be seen running around the office in dungarees, Kasia can easily describe herself in three words: cakes, cats and coffee! Currently in training for the next Olympic games in ping pong, she says the best thing about working at Luckies is that we’re the loveliest people on the planet. Well, if she says so...
In Luckies Top Trumps Jacqui rates herself at 10 for laughter volume, there's nobody louder – although we've heard there are some people in the office who snort – the highest form of laughter some might say !
Since Courtenay joined Luckies there has been a much needed injection of glamour to the office, so it's no surprise her dream destination is Lake Como. Unlike the rest of us she'd fit right in there with the A-List crew, and judging by her Instagram feed the paps might take more shots of her than Queen Bey!
Chris is the newest addition to the Luckies design team, and boy does he have a lot of hats and trainers. If you see him wear the same pair of kicks or cap we'd bet our bottom dollar at least 365 days will have passed…
Rebecca says that the days fly by working at Luckies, particularly when you’re in training to become the next office champion at ping pong. Given the chance, she’d hop on a plane to Singapore so she could sit in an infinity pool again whilst sipping a large glass of champagne. Sounds alright to us.
Hailing from bonny Scotland, you've got no excuse not to remember this guys name. Although he says his favourite product is Memory Box as he's pretty forgetful, so maybe he won't remember if you call him Ryan anyway. Try it.
Winnie is a real winner when it comes to inventive lunches made using the office microwave, knocking out moule mariniere, seafood noodles and Pho-nominal asian dishes at the touch of a button. Watch out Jamie Oliver, this girls got mad micro skills.
If Kash could go anywhere in the world it would be Norway for its cool graphic design and because he loves the cold. Whilst we’re not too sure about the cold part, he still gets our respect with a Luckies Top Trumps 10/10 ping pong score.
If there’s one thing you should know, it's that you can’t outsmart a Webmaster. Particularly one who leads a double life as Danny Dyer’s stunt double...Don’t let that scare you though, he might look as 'ard as nails but our Jason is a big softie really.
When asked to pick his favourite Luckies product he says it's like asking a parent to choose their favourite child. Apparently being the first born counts though as he picked Scratch map - one of the first ideas born into the Luckies family.
What Jo lacks in Emoji skills she makes up for in genius ideas, the Luckies Brown Paper Bag came out of her pretty head ! So you've got her to thank for keeping your lunches fresh and looking cool.
